In Memory of Carl Sagan 1934 – 1996

Today marks a very important day indeed as it would have been Carl Sagan’s 84th birthday. I did not grow up with Carl Sagan and therefore did not experience much of the cosmic influence that he was able to engender concurrently. But, indeed, Sagan’s timeless classic words still continue to reverberate in and ring through every crevice of our minds up until the present day with the same influence which which they were first uttered. I have decided to put together some of my favorite Carl Sagan quotes, words which continue to linger in my mind vividly, whilst always providing the exquisite cosmic perspective.

Rest in peace, Carl Sagan. You were and truly are an immensely influential inspiration — a renaissance man born centuries late; a voice for reason. Thanks for the infinite wisdom and the bewildering perspective. Gone but never forgotten, your words will live forever in our imagination. From the stars you came and to the stars you belonged. Happy birthday, Carl. I wish you were still around 😦
